Am I Eligible to Vote in Bristol Virginia?

 

* You must be a resident of the City of Bristol Virginia and registered to vote.

 

* To be registered, you must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen.

 

* If you have ever committed a felony or had your rights removed for mental incapacity, you must have had your civil rights restored (If you are interested in applying for restoration of rights for a felony conviction, you have to apply through the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth)

ABSENTEE

 

In order to vote an Absentee Ballot, you will need to complete an absentee application. Please click on the application below to see if any of the qualifying reasons to vote an absentee ballot apply to you. This application can be sent by either mail, email, or fax.

 

Absentee Ballot Application

 

The deadline to request a mailed absentee ballot is the Tuesday before the election. The Deadline to apply and vote an absentee ballot in person is the Saturday before the election.

 

Citizens of the uniformed services or people who are temporarily residing overseas may be eligible to apply for an absentee ballot each year for all elections by using a Federal Post Card Application. The following is the link:

Voters with disabilities that impair the voter from leaving his/her home can fill out an Annual Absentee Application which allows them to receive ballots for every election in a calendar year (January-December). This application must have a physicians signature. This form must be updated every year but, will not need a doctors signature after the first application is submitted and approved.
